Man Dies After Hell's Kitchen Stabbing

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A 24-year-old Hell's Kitchen man who was stabbed in the chest in the neighborhood last month died from his injuries almost a month later, police announced Thursday.

Police responded around 10:09 p.m. on Aug. 22 to a 911 call reporting a man stabbed at the corner of 11th Avenue and West 54th Street.

Police found Terrell Wigfall, 24, suffering from a stab wound to the chest. Wigfall lived several blocks south, on 48th street between 9th and 10th avenues.

He was taken to Mount Sinai West Hospital, where he died from his injuries last Wednesday, Sept. 16. His death has been ruled a homicide.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
