Man Hit, Killed By Train Near 42nd Street Subway Station
A man was fatally struck by an A train Wednesday in a tunnel several hundred feet past the Times Square station, police said.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man was fatally struck by a train Wednesday inside a tunnel near the 42nd Street–Times Square station, police said.
The unidentified man was hit around 4:34 p.m. by a southbound A train, about 300 feet inside the tunnel past the station, according to police.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the man was already on the tracks before he was hit, and no criminality is suspected, an NYPD spokesperson said.

The incident caused significant delays along the A, C and E lines, which were being re-routed onto Sixth Avenue, the MTA said shortly before 5:30 p.m. Commuters were urged to take alternate lines instead.
A/C/E trains are significantly delayed in both directions because someone was struck by a train at 42 St-Port Authority Bus Terminal.
