Man Wearing ‘FDNY’ Hat Robs Midtown Bank, Police Say

The man demanded money from a teller at a TD Bank branch on Sixth Avenue and West 32nd Street.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man who robbed a Midtown Manhattan bank while wearing an "FDNY" hat, police told Patch.

The suspect entered a TD Bank branch on Sixth Avenue and West 32nd Street around 2:30 p.m. Friday and approached a teller at the bank window, police said. The man then slipped the teller a note demanding money, police told Patch.

The bank teller complied with the man's demands and handed him an undetermined amount of cash, police said. The bank robber then fled the location in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a man in his 40s who stands 5-foot-8 and weighs around 180 pounds, police told Patch. He was wearing an "FDNY" cap and a gray shirt at the time of the bank robbery.
