Missing Westchester Woman Could Be In NYC, Police Say

The woman may have taken a train to Manhattan from White Plains, according to information police received.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — An 85-year-old Westchester County woman with dementia is missing and may be in need of medical attention. The Missing Persons Clearinghouse issued a Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert for Mary Elmore of White Plains Wednesday.

She was last seen on Ferris Avenue in White Plains at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16. Information indicates that she may have taken a train to New York City. She has been located at Penn Station in the past.

Elmore is believed to be on foot.

She is 5 feet, 7 inches and weighs 172 pounds. She is black and has gray hair and brown eyes.

Elmore was last seen wearing a blue and green jacket, olive-colored pants, black sneakers and glasses.
