NYC Off-Broadway Week: How To Score 2-For-1 Tickets To Great Shows
Shows such as "Stomp," "Avenue Q" and the "Blue Man Group" are offering discounted tickets.

NEW YORK, NY — Ticket sales for NYC Off-Broadway Week — the promotional event where theater lovers can enjoy two Off-Broadway shows for the price of one — launched this week, New York City's tourism agency announced.
NYC Off-Broadway Week will run from Sept. 25 through Oct. 8 and will feature 36 productions. While the shows don't play in big-name Broadway theaters, a number of impressive productions will participate in off-Broadway week. Some shows that people are sure to recognize include the "Blue Man Group," "Stomp" and "Avenue Q."
"With the wide variety of productions found Off-Broadway in New York City, there is something for everyone to enjoy, and NYC Off-Broadway Week allows them to experience it for less," Fred Dixon, president and CEO of NYC & Company, said in a statement. "With over 35 participating shows, we invite visitors and New Yorkers to partake as an audience member in this vibrant and world-class performing arts scene."

This year marks the ninth anniversary since the first NYC Off-Broadway Week, according to tourism officials.

"The Off-Broadway League is once again excited to partner with our friends at NYC & Company in offering NYC Off-Broadway Week" Adam Hess, president of The Off-Broadway League, said in a statement. "Through this incredible and affordable promotion, we are delighted to not only engage Off-Broadway’s regular theatergoers but also reach new audiences."
Two-for-one tickets can be purchased through NYC & Company's website by using the special code OBWF2017. Twenty-five of the shows featured in NYC Off-Broadway Week are first-time participants in the promotion.
