Person Falls To Death From Hell's Kitchen Building, Police Say

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A person fell to their death Thursday afternoon from a Hell's Kitchen high-rise building just blocks away from Lincoln Center and Columbus Circle, police and fire officials said.

Police and EMS units responded to 515 West 59th Street, located near 10th Avenue, around 3:30 p.m. to investigate reports that somebody fell or jumped from the building, an NYPD spokesman said. Upon arriving at the location, a person's body was discovered, the spokesman said.

The person was declared dead on the scene, an NYPD spokesman said. The spokesman could not confirm any details about the person's identity.

Police are still investigating the death and have not determined whether the person fell by accident or jumped intentionally.
