Sutton Place Fire Breaks Out In 4-Story Building

No injures have been reported.

SUTTON PLACE, NY — Firefighters battled a blaze in a four-story Sutton Place building Thursday morning, an FDNY spokeswoman told Patch.

The fire broke out in 940 First Avenue, located between East 51st and 52nd streets, shortly before 11 a.m., an FDNY spokeswoman said. Twelve FDNY units containing 60 firefighters rushed to the building to put out a fire that likely broke out in the building's first-story commercial business, the FDNY spokeswoman said.

No injures were reported, the spokeswoman said.
