NYC Water Taxi Accident: 30 Injured After Boat Makes Hard Landing, FDNY Says
Breaking: Everybody on board a New York Water Taxi has been evacuated following a hard landing at Pier 79 in Hell's Kitchen.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — Thirty people were treated for injuries ranging from "minor to serious" after aNew York Water Taxi made a hard landing at Pier 79 in Hell's Kitchen, an FDNY spokesman said. The hard landing occurred shortly after 4 p.m., FDNY officials said Friday.
None of the injuries were considered life-threatening, FDNY officials said.
An FDNY spokesman could not confirm how many people were on the boat when it collided with the pier. All passengers have been removed from the boat onto the pier, which is located near West 40th Street along the Hudson River, the FDNY spokesman said. The New York Water Taxi describes itself as the city's only "hop-on, hop-off" sightseeing by boat. In addition to making stops at Pier 79 the New York Water Taxi brings passengers to Tribeca, the South Street Seaport, DUMBO and to the Red Hook Ikea store.
