Whole Foods Opens Newest Location In Bryant Park

The new supermarket will place an emphasis on prepared foods to "cater to the neighborhood's Midtown crowd."

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Whole Foods has officially opened its newest New York City supermarket in a sprawling two-story, 43,000-square-foot development across the street from Bryant Park.

The supermarket will feature Whole Foods staples (expensive, yet healthy food offerings) and will also "cater to the neighborhood’s Midtown crowd," by serving up an extensive array prepared foods from some of the city's acclaimed chefs, according to a news release. The supermarket will feature a restaurant from the chefs behind Italian hotspots Frankies Sputino and a raw bar created in partnership with Daniel Boulud, according to a news release.

"We couldn’t be more proud of how our team and vendor partners have continued to innovate our offerings here in New York City," said Christina Minardi, president of Whole Foods Market’s northeast region. "Our culinary team has worked tirelessly to ensure this store is a premier dining destination that meets the needs of all the residents, office workers, daily commuters, and tourists who walk through our doors."
