Woman Groped On Midtown B Train, Police Say

When the woman confronted the man who grabbed her, he turned away and attempted to grope her again.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man who groped a woman on a train traveling through Midtown Manhattan, police said.

A 46-year-old woman was riding a B train on the night of April 22 when a man on the train grabbed her buttocks, police said. When the woman attempted to confront the man, he turned away from her, police said.

The man attempted to grope the woman a second time after the confrontation, but she was able to push his hand away, police said.

The woman exited the train at the Seventh Avenue and West 53rd Street station and was able to snap a picture of the man who groped her, police said.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s who stands about 5-foot-8 and weighs about 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a camouflage baseball cap, a camouflage long sleeved shirt, dark pants and gray sneakers.
