1 Dead, 2 Seriously Hurt, In Separate Suffolk Crashes Involving Motorcycles
BREAKING: The motorcyclist who was killed was traveling southbound in northbound lanes and passing other motorists, police say.

A motorcyclist was killed in a Suffolk County crash Friday afternoon and two others on a motorcycle were seriously injured in a separate crash about an hour later, Suffolk Police said.
The first crash occurred in North Bellport around 4:18 p.m. According to police, 29-year-old Dayquon Boykins was riding a motorcycle south in the northbound lane, passing other motorists on Station Road, about 200 feet north of the Woodside Avenue intersection, when he crashed into a 2010 Honda Odyssey minivan that was heading south and attempting to make a left-hand turn into a parking lot.
Boykins, of Coram, was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda, 40-year-old Stacy Washousky, of Ronkonkoma, and her 11-year-old daughter were transported by South Country Ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with minor injuries, police said.

The second crash occurred in Rocky Point at about 5:20 p.m.
According to police, 49-year-old Thomas Lowth and his passenger, 45-year-old Sherry Hansen were traveling east on Route 25A when his 2000 American Eagle motorcycle collided with a 2002 Hyundai that was pulling out of a parking lot near Peacock Road.

Lowth, of Sayville, and Hansen, of Rocky Point, were both transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where they are both in serious condition, police said. The driver of the Hyundai, a 20-year-old Miller Place man, stayed at the scene and was not injured.
