MOUNT SINAI, NY — A two-alarm fire incident, involving two homes, broke out in Mount Sinai on Saturday night, drawing area firefighters, Suffolk police said.
They started at two homes on Harbor Beach Road just after 9 p.m., according to police.
Fire officials told News 12 it was fast moving and sparked by embers from Fourth of July beach bonfires at Cedar Beach.
Grass and an attached deck caught fire on Harbor Beach Road, the outlet reported.
No one was injured.
The Sound Beach and Miller Place fire departments extinguished the flames, Suffolk Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services said.
The Brookhaven Town Fire Marshal's office also responded to the scene.
