The Suffolk County Police Department, along with the New York State Police and Urban League of Long Island, is participating in the Cops who Care food drive and donating 500 hams and turkeys to needy families this holiday season. Food will be given out on a first come, first serve basis on Dec. 22 in the parking lot of Suffolk Police headquarters in Yaphank.
