1 Dog Rescued, While Its Companion Perishes In Miller Place House Fire Arson Detectives Are Probing: Police
UPDATE: There were no people inside of the home when the fire broke out, Suffolk police say.
MILLER PLACE, NY — One dog was rescued, but its companion died in a house blaze in Miller Place on Thursday morning, Suffolk police say.
The fire broke out at the Oakland Avenue home just before 10:40 a.m., drawing area firefighters from multiple departments, according to police.
There were no people inside of the home when the fire broke out, police said, adding that the structure has been deemed uninhabitable by the Town of Brookhaven.
