Blaze Breaks Out At Miller Place Home On Christmas Eve

MILLER PLACE, NY — Local firefighters battled a blaze that broke out at a Miller Place home on Christmas Eve.

The fire started in the garage of a home on Sweetgum Lane just after 2 p.m., Suffolk police said, adding that Arson Squad detectives are now investigating. No injuries were reported.

Police did not release any further details.

The fire drew not only firefighters from Miller Place, but also from Mount Sinai, Middle Island, and Rocky Point, according to a photographer at the scene.
