Burglaries Reported At Rocky Point McDonald's, Gas Station

It's unclear if the burglaries are related but they occurred just 40 minutes apart Sunday morning.

ROCKY POINT, NY – Police are investigating two burglaries that occurred in Rocky Point Sunday morning.

According to police, a man pried open the side door of the McDonald's located at 463 Route 25A at about 4 a.m. The man tossed two cash registers on the ground but nothing was taken.

About 40 minutes later, someone broke a window at Gas Plus located at 613 Route 25A, Rocky Point. Entry was made into the gas station, but it doesn’t appear anything was taken, police said.

Police did not say if they believes the burglaries are related. No arrests have been made.
