Students in Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School found signs of affection in the natural world after reading a heartwarming story. School counselor Mrs. Jamie Adamski and Mrs. Arlette Dominguez, a counselor at the North Shore Youth Council, introduced students to Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s “That’s Me Loving You,” a lyrical story that comforts and reassures children with separation anxiety.

“We had the pleasure of sharing this sweet story with students in many of our groups,” Mrs. Adamski said. “We then worked on a collaborative mural showing all of the ways that we may feel connected to others and to nature.”
