Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School counselor Jamie Adamski, Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School counselor Jean Costa and classroom teachers filled the College and Career weeklong event with morning announcements, colorful posters, a virtual career fair with parent videos, and other ideas and activities for students to understand the importance of education and choosing a career path.

Mrs. Costa helped to start the week off with the game-based Kahoot! Students played Guess the Teacher, with teacher pictures in caps and gowns from high school or college. “The kids really enjoyed it,” she said.

After a successful event last year, Rocky Point parents and other family members, with many interesting and diverse professions, participated in the Virtual Career Fair. “We had over 30 people share information about their jobs for our Virtual Career Fair, so we’d love to give the community a big ‘thank you’ for that,” Mrs. Adamski said.
