Farmingville, NY- On June 15, Councilwoman Jane Bonner (left) attended the Court of Honor ceremony for new Eagle Scout Andrew Freund from Boy Scout Troop 244 in Rocky Point. The event was held at the Brookhaven Volunteer Firefighters Museum in Ridge, where Andrew built a ramp into the building to complete his Eagle Scout project requirements. Pictured with Councilwoman Bonner are Andrew’s mother Kathy Freund, Andrew Freund and his father, Neal Freund.
“Leadership, hard work, and dedication to the community are what it means to be an Eagle Scout,” said Councilwoman Bonner. “I commend Andrew for his achievement. He is a wonderful example for younger Scouts and his peers to follow.”
