Do you or a loved one have a connection to Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative colitis, also known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)? You are not alone. The Long Island Chapter of the CCFA is proud to host patient & caregiver support groups, providing the opportunity to meet others living with IBD, or provide support to those who have a connection to Crohn’s or colitis.
Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis (UC) are inflammatory diseases of the bowel, broadly categorized as inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD. As many as seven out of 100,000 people in the U.S. develop Crohn’s disease, and 10-15 people out of 100,000 develop UC.

Beginning September 17th we will be facilitating a support group at the Stony Brook University’s Wang Center. This group is focused on those diagnosed with Crohns or Colitis and those that help them manage their disease.
The interest and support from the CCFA and Dr. Li at Stony Brook Medicine has been more than impressive.
