Plein Aire Painting

Students will learn traditional plein aire (out door) painting. We will caravan to a different location each week, meeting at the studio first at 8:30am. Students are expected to bring their own supplies including paints and canvas. We reccomend that you bring a small, inexpensive easle and tarp. (An old sheet will do just fine.) There will also be some light walking at some of these locations. Students can work in the painting medium of their choice, which could include acrylic, oil or watercolor. Some of the locations we will visit are Cedar Beach, Port Jefferson and the Setauket powerline field. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Space is very limited in this workshop and we reccomend that you register early.
