This is the first year that PowerHouse Fitness in Miller Place will be open on New Years Day. The gym is raising funds for a 20-year-old man from Sound Beach. He has had two heart valve replacements and now has a brain aneurysm. He has been transported to Cornell Medical center and the strain on the family between medical and surgical costs are mountainous. The gym is asking for a $5.00 donation from both members and guests to give back and hopefully make it a little easier on this family in the New Year!
