Five Clerks Sold Alcohol to Minors: Police
Arrests made at businesses in Rocky Point, Middle Island, Ridge and Sound Beach.

Suffolk County Police say they arrested five people Sunday who sold alcohol to minors at several businesses in Rocky Point, Middle Island, Ridge and Sound Beach.
Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an underage alcohol sting at 11 businesses, police said. Some of the businesses were chosen in response to community complaints and others were randomly selected.
Five establishments were found to be in violation of the law, police said. The following people were arrested and charged with first degree unlawfully dealing with a child for selling alcohol to minors:

· Satyashivkumar Patel, 29, employed by Gas Plus, located at 613 Route 25A, Rocky Point
· Matthew B. Dozier, 21, employed by Handy Pantry, located at 684 Route 25A, Rocky Point

· A 16-year-old female employed by Key Food, located at 868 Middle Country Road, Middle Island
· Chitra B. Khatri, 36, employed by BP Gas Station, located at 1470 Middle Country Road, Ridge
· A 17-year-old male employed by Handy Pantry, located at 280 Echo Ave., Sound Beach
All five were issued field appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
The following six businesses refused to sell alcohol to minors during the sting:
· Coastal Gas, located at 1025 Route 25A, Miller Place
· Millennium Gas, located at 153 Route 25, Ridge
· Citgo Gas, located at 557 Route 25A, Rocky Point
· B.P. Gas, located at 779 Route 25A, Rocky Point
· B.P. Gas, located at 975 Middle Country Road, Middle Island
· USA Gas, located at 1146 Route 25, Middle Island
