PATCHOGUE, NY – On Sunday, October 28th, Legislator Sarah Anker participated by recognizing runners at the 4th Annual Suffolk County Marathon held at the Family Services YMCA in Patchogue. Every year the event raises funds to expanded veterans services throughout the county. Along the 26.2 mile course, one-third of a mile was dedicated to honor the memory of Suffolk County military veterans who have been killed in action since September 11, 2001.
“It was an honor to join my colleagues and the community at the Suffolk County Marathon,” said Legislator Anker. “May we always come together to support those who have given everything to protect our country.”
