Rocky Point, N.Y. – On Saturday, March 24, 2018, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker honored Carol Moor for her retirement from Director of “Invited In” soup kitchen at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rocky Point. For the past nearly 30 years Carol Moor has coordinated volunteers from Mount Sinai to Wading River to help preparing and serve hot meals every Thursday night to those in need in the community.

“I commend Carol for her altruism. She saw a need in her community and has worked tirelessly to provide warm meals to those in need. I wish her all the best in her retirement.”

Under Moor’s leadership as director of “Invited In” soup kitchen, up to 75,000 meals have been served to those who attend their weekly dinners. She has also worked hard to secure grants and donations to ensure that the program can continue to help those in need.
