Little Flower Thanks First Responders

On Thursday, July 12, Legislator Sarah Anker attended First Responder's Day at Little Flower Children and Family Services in Wading River.

WADING RIVER, NY – On Thursday, July 12, 2018 Legislator Sarah Anker attended First Responder’s Day at Little Flower Children and Family Services in Wading River. The event, which was held at the Monsignor John T. Fagan Campus, was hosted by the Little Flower organization in appreciate for all first responders. Staff members provided free breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the day to local police, fire department, and EMS members.

“Little Flower provides essential support to all those that they serve, and it was my distinct pleasure to join them in offering our appreciation to local first responders,” said Legislator Sarah Anker. “Our police officers fire department volunteers and EMS workers are vital to maintaining the health and safety of our communities and it was wonderful to have a chance to thank them for their service.”

Little Flower Children and Family Services was established in 1930 and provides foster boarding home care and residential treatment care for orphaned, abandoned, and neglected children. The organization also provides supportive services to at-risk youth and adolescents, assistance to developmentally disabled adults, eldercare resources, and respite housing.
