Local Miller Place based 12 year old baseball team in Nationals!
LI Hurricanes win National Youth Baseball Championship Qualifier and will represent the North East in This weeks Nationals Championships.

Last month The 12u Long Island Hurricanes Baseball team based out of Miller Place, NY was able to surprise many when they captured the top prize at the National Baseball Youth Championships at Baseball Heaven in Yaphank NY. This accomplishment didn’t just come with trophies, but it also came with a spot for The LI Hurricanes at this weeks NYBC National Championships, with some games being televised on CBS Sports.
The Hurricanes were undefeated in The qualifying tournament in 6 games against some of the best teams in the North East. The Hurricanes hit 13 homers in the 6 games to help capture the title. The National Championship Tournament will bring teams that have qualified in tournaments across the Country. 1025 teams played in qualifying tournaments across 26 States, with teams coming from as far as Puerto Rico to compete.
Manager Mike Fasano said “this team is something special. All of our players returned from our 2017 team for 2018 and we trained together indoors throughout the winter with qualifying for the NYBC as our #1 long term goal for this year. All of their hard work has paid off. I couldn’t be more proud of these boys!”
