1. A man was pistol whipped and robbed by three assailants in Gordon Heights early Thursday on West Yaphank Road. A man with a handgun tried to rob him of his wallet before the three fled the scene. (Patch)
2. Daniel Apolinario was arrested and charged with DWI and possession of a "ghost gun" Friday after he attempted to enter the Riverhead Correctional Facility parking lot. Apolinario, 24, of Bay Shore, was stopped by a deputy sheriff at the the security booth and he appeared intoxicated. (smithtownmatters.com)
3. Brentwood beat Miller Place's boys varsity wrestling team, 34-28, in Saturday's Suffolk Division I wrestling dual meet championship in Bay Shore. (Subscription: Newsday)
