Police: Bicyclist Hit by Car in Rocky Point Seriously Hurt
Crash occurred on Rocky Point Road Tuesday morning, police say.

A 60-year-old Coram man was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a car while he was riding his bicycle in Rocky Point Tuesday morning, police said.
According to police, Raymond McCue was riding his bike south on Rocky Point Road at about 6:20 a.m. when he was hit by a minivan that was also heading south on Rocky Point Road near Whiskey Road.
McCue was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, police said. The driver of the minivan, 25-year-old Phillip Gabriel, of Rocky Point, was not injured in the crash. No criminal charges have been filed.

The minivan was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
