Police Seeking Man Who Used Fake Money at Calverton Gas Station
The man used a counterfeit $20 bill to make a purchase, police say.
Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who used counterfeit money at a gas station in Calverton last month.
A man entered Exxon on 1 Edwards Avenue, and used a counterfeit $20 bill to make a purchase on May 13 at 10:05 p.m., police said.
The man then fled in a dark-colored pickup truck, according to police.

The man was described as in his early 20s, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds, police said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
