Suffolk County Police are investigating a car crash that happened in Ridge at approximately 5:15 p.m. Thursday. A 2015 Dodge Challenger was driving erratically northbound on the William Floyd Pkwy near Upton Road causing a 2006 Nissan Altima, which was also traveling northbound, to leave the road and crash into a wooded area. The driver of the Challenger left the scene. The driver of the Nissan was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing.

- The video shows the Altima stopped behind the Challenger on the shoulder at the intersection of the William Floyd Parkway and Longwood Road. Sagastume says the driver of the Nissan had exchanged words with the Challenger's driver at the traffic light.
- Another witness who was stopped at the traffic light says she saw the driver of the Altima get out of his car and bang on the Challenger.
- The Altima speeds off and the Challenger follows closely behind. Moments later, the Altima can be seen leaving the roadway and crashing into trees.
