Rocky Point High School Students Learn About Reaching Potential

Press release from the Rocky Point School District:

March 21, 2022

Rocky Point High School students welcomed Nick Tokman, also known as Sunshine on Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch,” to the school in two days of interactive presentations on empowerment and reaching each one’s highest potential.

An engaging and animated professional speaker, Tokman helps people recognize what’s important for them in their lives so they can stay focused on life goals, overcoming adversity, leveraging failure for success and making better decisions for themselves.

Principal Jonathan Hart noted that the presentation resonated with many of the students, with Tokman engaging and finding a connection to his life’s journey and highlighting a strong resolve and refusal to quit.

In a twist of gratitude, Tokman was such a hit with the students that he shared his thanks to them for making him feel welcome in Rocky Point on the school’s Instagram.
