Rocky Point Man Charged In Assault

Police say he hit another person with a baseball bat at a home they share.

ROCKY POINT, NY – A 65-year-old man was arrested after he struck another man with a baseball bat at their Rocky Point home last weekend, police said.

Bryan Broderick is charged with second degree assault, a felony, and second degree menacing. Police say he struck a 29-year-old man with a baseball bat and then pointed a gun at the victim around 11:10 p.m. Saturday at 26 Pearl Road.

The victim suffered a broken elbow, police said.

Both men live at the same home, but police did not specify the relationship between the two.

Broderick was arraigned on Sunday and released on $2,500 bail.
