Rocky Point’s National English Honor Society Wins Project Grant

Funds will allow the group to host a poetry night in April 2022 for National Poetry Month.

The Rocky Point High School chapter of the National English Honor Society won a project grant award to fund and host a poetry night in April 2022 for National Poetry Month.

Under the advisement of Christine Blume and Rachel Hludzinski, chapter president Ella Botacelli and officers Kalina Prendergast (vice president), Eva Edery (secretary), Jessica Zoll (treasurer) and Ava Lulenski (public relations chair) wrote and submitted the grant proposal to the national organization.

“This is such positive news,” Director of Humanities Melinda Brooks said. “We are so proud of the accomplishments of the Rocky Point chapter of the National English Honor Society.”
