Rocky Point Seniors Honored As Suffolk Zone Award Recipients

Alexandra Kelly and Cody Miller were recognized by the New York State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

Rocky Point High School seniors Alexandra Kelly and Cody Miller were each named a 2021 Suffolk Zone award winner by the New York State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

Alexandra is a track captain and has garnered All-State status in the long jump and triple jump. She is a member of the Varsity Club, Human Rights Club, History Honor Society, NY Math Honor Society and Be a Nicer Neighbor Club and participates in various charitable events. She is an AP Scholar with Distinction and was selected as an alternate in the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education All-State Conference. Alexandra will attend Princeton University, where she will major in forensics.

Cody is a stand-out student-athlete. He is a varsity football team captain and varsity baseball team captain, is also a member of the school’s Varsity Club and Athletes Helping Athletes. He is a volunteer at a homeless shelter and is committed to other community-minded activities. He is a recipient of the Virtual Enterprise Hardest Worker Award and the Live Like Susie Kindness Award. He will join the freshman class at East Tennessee State University in the fall.
