Under the leadership of teacher Mark Yashowitz, the students set tables, organized food, took out trash and assisted with other details that helped create a warm and caring environment for the organization that has been serving meals for close to a quarter-century.
“At times, fourth graders volunteer because they are interested in seeing what the Academic Leaders do,” Yashowitz said, as he encourages students and their siblings to take part in helping in the local community.
