Rocky Point Students Honored For Technology Project
A group received accolades and a proclamation for their creation of a 3D prosthetic hand that was donated to a boy in Indonesia.

Rocky Point High School seniors Thomas Anzalone, Brendon Artzt, Jacob Bazata, Gianna Imeidopf, James Prendergast and junior Gavin Donovan recently joined technology education teacher Mr. John Schumacher to be honored by Sen. Anthony Palumbo in his Riverhead office. With family in attendance, the group received accolades and a proclamation for their creation of a 3D prosthetic hand that was donated to a boy in Indonesia.

Each student received a copy of the official document and a framed New York State Senate Proclamation that will be displayed in the high school.
In part, the proclamation reads, βHonoring Rocky Point High School students for the successful creation of a prosthetic hand for Anan Suastika.β Anan is the little boy whose life was changed forever by the receipt of the kindhearted project.
