Suffolk Police Seeking Info On Stony Brook Porch Pirate

STONY BROOK, NY — Suffolk police are hoping that the public will help them identify a woman who stole packages from a Stony Brook porch earlier this month.

Police said the woman stole packages from the porch of a home on Stony Brook Road on Dec. 19 at about 8 p.m. In an image pulled from a security camera, the woman is blond and was wearing glasses. Police did not release any further details.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the theft of the packages to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, a confidential police hotline, or by using a mobile app, which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips. Tips can also be submitted online at www.P3Tips.com.
