Man Struck, Killed While Crossing North Ocean Avenue: Suffolk PD
He was pronounced dead at Long Island Community Hospital. Two passengers were treated for minor injuries.
MEDFORD, NY — A man was killed while crossing North Ocean Avenue in Medford on Tuesday night, Suffolk police said.
A man had been crossing the roadway on foot at the intersection of Masonic Avenue when he was struck by a southbound 2003 Honda Civic at about 10:20 p.m., police said, adding that he was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.
The man has not yet been identified by police.

The driver of the Honda, Daniel Avila-Canales, 26, of Medford, was not injured in the crash, but two passengers in his car were transported to the same hospital for treatment of "minor injuries," police said. His vehicle was impounded for a safety check, police said.
