WADING RIVER, NY — Three people were arrested and charged with stealing credit cards from a vehicle outside a home in Wading River Friday, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, Keval Gray, 31, of Amityville, David Andre, 29, of Amityville, and Carizma Brown, 31, of Central Islip were all arrested and charged with six counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

When the homeowner went out to confront the man, he had already left the area, police said. The homeowner went to check his vehicles and found that the man had gone through his wife's wallet and removed all of her credit cards, police said. The resident also confirmed that fact by further reviewing surveillance footage, police said.

The homeowner contacted the police and then got into his vehicle and began to check the area himself, police said; he saw a vehicle nearby, and the driver took off at a high rate of speed when the homeowner approached, police said.
