Teen Hospitalized After Massive Underage Drinking Party, 2 Adults Arrested: Police
BREAKING: When police arrived at the Long Island home Saturday night, more than 100 teens spilled out into the street, police say.
SOUND BEACH, NY – Two people were arrested for violating Suffolk County's Social Host Law after a teen was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning in Sound Beach Saturday night, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, Seventh Precinct Patrol officers responded to a parking lot across from 271 Echo Ave. at about 10:55 p.m. after a teenage girl became ill from alcohol consumption. The girl was coming from a party at a home located at 271 Echo Ave.
When police arrived, there were more than 100 teens spilling out into the street, police said. Alcohol was present at the party, police said.

The girl was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police did not release her age.
Police arrested and charged the hosts of the party, Charles Suomi, 40, and Farnelle Marseille 35, for violating the Social Host Law. Both were issued field appearance tickets and released. They are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on April 12.

The Social Host Law states that "it shall be unlawful for any person over the age of 18 who owns, rents, or otherwise controls a private residence to knowingly allow the consumption of alcohol or alcoholic beverages by any minor on such premises or to fail to take reasonable corrective action upon learning of the consumption of alcohol or alcoholic beverages by any minor on such premises."
