Teen on Motor Bike Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Sound Beach

Police are searching for a light-colored sedan that fled the scene after crashing into a teen on a motor bike in Sound Beach Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, Kyle Fiore, 18, was riding a motor bike eastbound on Jamaica Drive when he was struck by a sedan at the intersection of Deer Road around 4:55 p.m.

Fiore was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was treated for a broken femur and other non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The motor bike was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Seventh Squad detectives at 631-852-8752 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
