Teen Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Miller Place Crash: Police
An 18-year-old was hospitalized after a crash involving a Nissan making a U-turn, police say.
MILLER PLACE, NY — An 18-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Miller Place Tuesday evening, Suffolk County police said.
Lizbet Rubio, 23, of Miller Place, was driving a 2019 Nissan Kicks north on Miller Place-Yaphank Road, near Jonah Road, when she attempted to make a U-turn around 7:46 p.m., according to Suffolk County police.
The Nissan collided with a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle traveling south, police said.

The motorcycle’s operator, Riley Ahearn, 18, of Middle Island, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious physical injuries, police said.
Rubio was not injured, police said.
