The New York State Master Teacher Program is an avenue for the Rocky Point educators to collaborate with their cohorts across the region.

After a rigorous application and selection process three Rocky Point Union Free School District educators have each been named a New York State Master Teacher. They will join a reputable group of innovators and leaders in STEM education who bring a unique perspective to enhancing their students’ education.

Rocky Point High School math teachers Janece Alfredson and Jenessa Eilers and Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School teacher and Grade 3-5 Science Chairperson Michael Friscia are now part of the Long Island cohort based at Stony Brook University.
The New York State Master Teacher Program is an avenue for the Rocky Point educators to collaborate with their cohorts across the region to become more aware of their schoolwide programs and to learn about the successes they are having in their classrooms.
