Trader Joe's Celebrated With Visit From Brookhaven Councilwoman

MILLER PLACE, NY — Brookhaven Town Councilwoman Jane Bonner marked the opening of Trader Joe's in Miller Place with a second ribbon-cutting celebration on Monday.

Bonner welcomed the store's opening along the Route 25A corridor, calling it "a positive and long-awaited addition for local families."

She presented the store's leadership and staff with a certificate of congratulations for their success on behalf of the Town Board.

Bonner called the store a "welcome addition to Miller Place."

“Residents have been looking forward to this day, and I’m pleased to see a high-quality retailer invest in our community," she said. This opening adds convenience for families, creates jobs, and strengthens our local tax base.”

The store is the third of its kind, joining two others in Commack and Lake Grove.

It opened with much fanfare and has been the talk of the town after having been on the community's wish list for the better part of 15 years.
