Trader Joe's To Open Latest Long Island Location In Miller Place This Week: Reps
It's the third location in Suffolk County to open.
MILLER PLACE, NY — Trader Joe’s is set to open its latest Long Island store, and the third in Suffolk County, in Miller Place on Thursday, the company's media relations rep said Wednesday.
The new 9,200-square-foot store, which is on Route 25A, across Route 25A from the North County Plaza, will be celebrated at a ribbon-cutting at 9 a.m. The store's captain, Jimmy Mohrman, and some crew members will be on hand to welcome customers to their new neighborhood store.
Other locations in Suffolk include Lake Grove and Commack.

The store has hired more than 50 new crew members from surrounding areas and transferred in others from nearby Trader Joe’s stores.
As part of the company’s Neighborhood Shares Program, the location will donate 100 percent of products that go unsold, but remain fit to enjoy, to a range of non-profit, community-based organizations, seven days a week.
