Woman Drove Drunk With Her 2 Kids in Car in Miller Place: Cops
A good Samaritan called police after she noticed the apparently intoxicated woman putting her children in and out of her car, police say.
A 24-year-old Sound Beach woman faces a felony DWI charge after police say she drove drunk with her two young children in her car Saturday night.
According to police, a good Samaritan called police after she noticed an apparently intoxicated woman putting her children in and out of her car while illegally parked in a handicapped zone in front of Stop & Shop in Miller Place at 10:13 p.m.
Officers stopped the Lincoln Navigator on Carlisle Road in Miller Place at 10:26 p.m. The driver, Holly Olsen, had her two children, ages 2-years-old and 2-months-old, in the vehicle, police said.

Olsen is charged with aggravated DWI with a child passenger 15 years old or younger (a felony under Leandra’s Law, DWI, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Olsen was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
