UNIONDALE, NY — A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of a Roosevelt man who was found early Monday morning in Uniondale, Nassau County police said.
Jorge Alexander Huezo Villatoro, 35, of El Salvador, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Tadeo Alvarado-Chavez, 40, of Roosevelt, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call for a person needing assistance near 979 Nassau Road at about 4:05 a.m. on Sept. 14, detectives said.
Alvarado-Chavez was found at the scene and pronounced dead by a Nassau County police medic.
Huezo Villatoro was scheduled to be arraigned Friday, Sept. 18, at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.

Police have not disclosed how Alvarado-Chavez died, what led to the homicide or whether the two men knew each other.
