7 Arrested After Late Night 7-Eleven Brawl: Police

MONTAUK, NY — Seven people were arrested after a brawl at a Montauk 7-Eleven last week, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, the incident took place on May 28 at 4:35 a.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 653 Montauk Highway.

- Ricky A. McFarland, 28, was arrested and charged with second degree harassment, physical contact, a violation, after he punched someone with a close fist "about the face," police said. He was also charged with disorderly conduct, fight/violent behavior for punching the individual with a closed fist and then "engaged in a violent altercation by throwing punches at numerous persons," police said. McFarland was also charged with criminal mischief: reckless property damage greater than $250, a misdemeanor; he caused damage to merchandise, shelving units, and merchandise valued at $350, police said.

Cash bail was set at $100, police said.

- Marbin Mateo, 30, of Montauk, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, fight/violent behavior, a violation, after throwing punches at numerous individuals, police said. He was released on his own recognizance.

- Courtney R. Gregg, 26, of East Hampton, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, fight/violent behavior, a violation, after throwing punches at numerous individuals, police said; he was released ROR.

- Carlos J. Serra Bencosme, 25, of Montauk, was arrested and charged with second degree harassment, physical contact, a violation, after punching someone with a closed fist in the face, as well as criminal mischief, reckless property damage greater than $250, due to the damage in 7-Eleven totaling $350, police said. He was also charged with disorderly conduct, fight/violent behavior, a violation, for throwing punches, police said. Cash bail was set at $100.

- Fernando Junior Mateo Brito, 36, of East Hampton, was arrested and charged with first degree attempted assault, intent to cause serious injury with weapon, a felony, police said. He intentionally attempted to cause serious physical harm with a "deadly weapon or dangerous instrument" in that he swung a wooden 2x4 at the head of another man, attempting to cause him serious physical injury, police said. He was also charged with disorderly conduct: fight, violent behavior, a violation, and criminal mischief, reckless property damage greater than $250, for the alleged damage estimated at $350 to the 7-Eleven, police said. In addition, he was charged with second degree menacing, weapon, a misdemeanor, police said. Cash bail was set at $5,000.

- Amaurys Delossantos, 41, of Amagansett, was charged with criminal mischief, reckless property damage greater than $250, for property damage in the 7-Eleven estimated at $350, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, fight/violent behavior, a violation, for swinging punches, police said. He was released on his own recognizance.

- William McFarland, 36, of Hampton Bays, was charged with disorderly conduct, fight/violent behavior, a violation, for throwing punches, and criminal mischief/reckless property damage greater than $250, a misdemeanor, for damage to the 7-Eleven totaling $350, police said. He was released on his own recognizance.
