• Long Island and NYC Fishing Report- September 10, 2026 (onthewater.com) — Montauk anglers are seeing an early run of false albacore, with Capt. Pete Douma reporting active fish on both tides and recommending tiny bay-anchovy imitations on fly or small epoxy jigs on spin. Bigger bluefish, bonito, mahi, and some inshore tuna are also around, and the broader Long Island report suggests the albie bite off Montauk should only improve in the coming weeks.
